Cloudland Canyon is located near the northern end of Lookout Mountain, it is about 2 hours drive north of Atlanta (mainly on highway 75) , and this park is really beautiful, offering some really nice hikes and peaceful atmosphere.  There are few trails, while visiting i walked the Waterfall Trail and loved it,very easy walk and great views, till you get to the end where you see the waterfalls – really nice.

I am a big fan of waterfalls of all kind, I love to watch it and it is even worth a few hours of trekking to get there in my opinion. the funny thing is that after visiting both well known and less known waterfalls, it is not always the known waterfalls that i really love, I am not as big of a fan of Niagara falls or  Krimmel falls like i am a fan of Koziak fall or Gullfoss.

So here it is, My top 5 hidden, not really well known waterfalls:

1. Koziak fall in Slovenia

2. Calc Creek Falls at Grand Staircase, Escalante – Utah, USA

Grand Staircase Escalante - Utah

3.  Cloudland canyon state park, GA, USA

cloudland park- USA

4. Gullfoss – Iceland

Gullfoss- Iceland

5.  St Mary Falls – Glacier National park Montana, USA

st mary falls- USA

There are many other falls i really like and are not very famous but these are probably my top 5.

We found these waterfalls by mistake but we are really glad we found them since it was really beautiful. The falls are located not too far from the city of  Triberg in a  city called Todtnau. The walk is not an easy walk since you have to climb all the way up and then get back down to your car (or the other way around – depends where you parked you car).

Todtnau Waterfalls - Germany

This is definitely one of the best waterfalls I have seen, it is nothing like any other one.  these are 2 giant  falls falling together and it is amazing, you can just walk to the edge and see it from a real close distance. Noticed that it is very cold there, even at August.

Gullfoss - Iceland

This is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever visited, and I visited a lot of them. It is a short walk of about an hour, mostly on gravel and the last few meters are a bit rocky but the hidden waterfall you see few meters away from you is just amazing.

The waterfall located near the city of Kobarid, not very far from Bled.

Koziak Waterfall - Slovenia
