The lake itself is a small round lake, you should defiantly walk around it to view it from all angels (there are some great views when you see the little island in the middle of the lake with all the mountains around it).  There is also the Bled castle you can visit which is located just above the lake, and the island itself.

It is a short walk of about an hour, mostly on gravel and the last few meters are a bit rocky but the hidden waterfall you see few meters away from you is just amazing.

The waterfall located near the city of Kobarid, not very far from Bled.
