I visited this great restaurant in Calgary back in 2001 and it was great, other than the great food (a lot of meat) and great authentic cowboy atmosphere, i really liked the cool t shirts they are selling in regards to their testicle festival  – great stuff.

When i was there it was like, give them your cowboy hat get a free drink, for your cowboy boots you will get a free meal and over your head you can  see all the boots and hats – just think about  how many people ate there for free

Top 5 Street Food

Author: admin

When I travel I really love tasting all kind of street foods, ye right, the cheap stuff you get from those guys with carts. So here it is – my top 5 street food (and I haven’t been to Asia yet  – imagine that)

1. Chicken Shish Kebab in Istanbul – we tried it when arriving to Anadolu Kavagi (after a short boat ride on the Bosphorus river) and it was so good (and since it was also really cheap we immediately had another one).

2. Nurnberger Original – these are long hot dogs (but which actually taste good, like meat and not like crap) – you can get them all over Nurnberg on carts for like 2 Euros each.

3.  Turkish pretzel – available throughout Istanbul for less than a Dollar.

4. Giant licorice on candy stand all around Sweden and Norway – they are like 70 CM long and you can get them in every color you can think of

5. Square Pizza in Italy (in my case it was Florence but i think you can find it elsewhere as well) – really tasty and really thick.

Since I am a big junk food fan – I guess I will have more fast food related lists soon.

Ok, this might sound stupid but all over the center of Istanbul you will see carts with Pretzels, but dont mistaken , these are the best I have ever tasted, it is also very cheap (like less than 50Cents) – Must try.

Yes, I am going to write an entire post (a short one but still, a post)  about a great susage, it is not really fency food as you can guess but it is really good. These are sold on every street corner at Nürnber, its cheap, its good and it is fast – dont miss it.

This is a really cool place to eat, it is located in a dungeon of some sort and it is one of these “medieval style” restaurants, typical music, typical clothes of the waitresses and really good and big size dishes. you will not get a fork or knife there so get ready to get dirty. you should probably make reservation since we had to come back the next day since it was full.

Location: Budapest, Podmaniczky 14.
