When visiting Bavarian Germany it is worth to drive to the city of  Schwangau (near fussen which you probably going to visit anyway)  and take  a tour inside the  Neuschwanstein Castle.  This castle is truly amazing both from the inside but mainly from the outside.

There are free walking tours in major cities around the world, presented by the Neweuropetours and I just happen to catch a walking tour in Prague (few months ago my husband was also taking this tour in London and he loved it). The tours are really light and the guides are really funny and share a lot of knowledge – defiantly should check their site and see if there is a tour where you are heading next.

For the Prague tour – you  meet the guide daily at 11 am or 2 pm right near the Starbucks at old town square

Stockholm is a beautiful city with many islands combined together, one of the best parts in Stockholm is the old city which is known as Gamla Stan, this is not a big part of the city, located in the heart of Stockholm and connected by bridges to other islands. you should just spend a few hours walking in the old street, and visit the royal palace.

I really love markets, whenever i visit cities  i try to visit at least few markets, it doesn’t matter if I end up buying stuff or not (and usually i do) but it is a lot of fun to walk and see all kind of stuff laying on the stands.

In London I really enjoyed Portobello Market, even if it is not the most famous, and it is pretty small, it was great fun, it is actually a street market located at Notting Hill.

I was visiting Barcelona for a week during September 2010 and I actually had a dilemma about this tip, since usually I write about good experiences and stuff i really liked but in this case its the opposite.

Port Olimpic is the area with some restaurants, bars and night clubs in Barcelona, right on the port so of course it has a great potential, great view and nice atmosphere there, but, i tried 2 different restaurants there and other than the fact they look really fancy and great and they are much more expensive than other places, the food was not that great (to say the least) – both times i was very disappointed – so maybe i chose the wrong places but striking out 2 out of 2 looks like a pattern to me…if you go there – make sure to know which place to go by recommendations (from someone you trust)  before you go there.
