While visiting Stockholm, you should visit the ice bar which is located inside the Nordic Sea hotel, right near the train station. The bar is all made of ice, and you pay entry fee which buys you gloves, cape and first drink (you will probably wont stay long enough for another one, but in case you do you can order more).

Inside it is really amazing, all made of ice, all the walls, the bars, the stalls and even the glasses are made of ice – really amazing, really cold as well.

In general, Flam (or Flaam, or Flåm) is a small place in Norway which i visited 2 years ago, this was one of the places i really looking forward to visit (mainly since they have such great reputation, and their site is really great, but in general, yes, it is a great place, lovely fjord and some really nice hikes and amazing views – defiantly worth the trip.

The only thing i would advise you to avoid, is the train trip, it is a really expensive trip, and the views you see while riding the trains are not really worth the price – you see all these views and more from the village itself. Yes, you will see a nice waterfall, but you will get to see thousands of these while visiting Norway. Other than that, the train (due to the fact its an historical train) is so slow so other than the money you will be spending 2 hours of precious Norway travel time.

The Uruniemi Camping near Inari at the north of Finnish Lapland is located 2 Km outside of the Inari village – which makes it so isolated and really unique. The camping offers all kind of cabins with or without running water so prices vary and can fit many people. It is right on the lake so it is amazing and the views are great . There is, of course, a sauna and also a fire cabin where it is nice to sit around the fire (big enough for 10 people or so).

We called them 2 days before our arrival and even though it was out of season they agreed to open for us and were reasonably priced as well…very nice people.

Phone: 358-(0)16-671331
Directions: When you take the bus to Inari there is a bus stop right in front of it before the bus goes into the village
