The Blue lagoon is a really nice place for some relaxation, and the fact it is close to the Reykjavik airport makes it a good idea to have a short break there before your flight. There is nothing more there other than geothermal heated pools, but it is a nice thing to do especially when it is a bit cold around you.

This is not a must, you can find stuff like that probably everywhere but it is really nice and since it is so close to the airport…why not.

These are some really amazing, high falls which are located in the Yoho National park (right along side between Banff and Jasper). The falls are huge, you will see them from a distance even from the parking area which is probably a good spot to start taking some pictures  – you wont be able, when closer to fit it to the frame.

When in Israel you will see a lot of the sea – that is for sure, but there are some real gems hiding along the smaller roads. One of these roads is the road leading from north of Netanya to road #2 going through some small villages and right on the water.

Directions: When you are in North Netanya, continue into Avichail (its a small town next to Netanya)  keep on  driving west till you  get to a stop sign, take a right follow the road  (you will see the blue bay hotel on your left) right after you pass the hotel you will see the sea right there to your left – some really nice views, if you want, park your car and go down to the beach – usually these are pretty empty.

The Uruniemi Camping near Inari at the north of Finnish Lapland is located 2 Km outside of the Inari village – which makes it so isolated and really unique.  The camping offers all kind of cabins with or without running water so prices vary and can fit many people.  It is right on the lake so it is amazing and the views are great . There is, of course, a sauna and also a fire cabin where it is nice to sit around the fire  (big enough for 10  people or so).

We called them 2 days before our arrival and even though it was out of season they agreed to open for us and were reasonably priced as well…very nice people.

Directions: When you take the bus to Inari there is a bus stop right in front of it before the bus goes into the village
