I visited this park twice, one time was during June and another time was during September, defiantly June is better, there are still many snow and ice remains and while driving towards higher grounds (like going to the sun route) you see all those giant ice walls around you which creates some ice caves along the road and the views are great.

I really love the RoomSaver’s coupons book (USA and Canada), they have a site you can print the coupons but usually I don’t like planning too much ahead – I never know where I am going to sleep that night so whenever I get to a gas station or a Burger king or something like that i pick up the book (usually they have a stand on the entrances to these places – especially on highway’s rest areas)  – Some deals in this book are really great and other than one case where4 the motel owner didn’t accept his own coupon, motels and  hotels are really happy to give the discount.

you can visit their site or pick them once you there – Roomsaver site

Top 5 Street Food

Author: admin

When I travel I really love tasting all kind of street foods, ye right, the cheap stuff you get from those guys with carts. So here it is – my top 5 street food (and I haven’t been to Asia yet  – imagine that)

1. Chicken Shish Kebab in Istanbul – we tried it when arriving to Anadolu Kavagi (after a short boat ride on the Bosphorus river) and it was so good (and since it was also really cheap we immediately had another one).

2. Nurnberger Original – these are long hot dogs (but which actually taste good, like meat and not like crap) – you can get them all over Nurnberg on carts for like 2 Euros each.

3.  Turkish pretzel – available throughout Istanbul for less than a Dollar.

4. Giant licorice on candy stand all around Sweden and Norway – they are like 70 CM long and you can get them in every color you can think of

5. Square Pizza in Italy (in my case it was Florence but i think you can find it elsewhere as well) – really tasty and really thick.

Since I am a big junk food fan – I guess I will have more fast food related lists soon.

This is a well known lake so there are always many tourists there, but this is not harming the peaceful atmosphere of this lake and the small town around it. The lake itself is a small round lake, you should defiantly walk around it to view it from all angels (there are some great views when you see the little island in the middle of the lake with all the mountains around it).  There is also the Bled castle you can visit which is located just above the lake, and the island itself.

Bled Lake - Slovenia

This park is really small but really beautiful, it is located eastern from the Oregon coast line so if you drive on the 101 or the 5 you need to exit at Roseburg and drive on the 138 and you will see the signs from there. the park itself is a little lake created inside a volcanic basin. The water are so blue and clear and the cliffs around it makes it really amazing.
